with the support of the Università degli Studi di Perugia. The program will consist of ten Plenary Talks and sixteen Special Sessions.
The University of Perugia is among the oldest Italian Universities. It was officially established in 1308 by Pope Clemente V's bull. However, the University of Perugia has probably older origins: indeed, documents about its existence can be found since the second half of the 13th century, witnessing the effort of the town towards the naissance of a "Studium" that could make Perugia a center of erudition and culture.
The relationships between Perugia and the German community are particularly strong thanks to its twinning with Potsdam and Tübingen that has been promoting over the last 25 years the cultural exchanges between Perugia and these two towns.
scientific program consists of ten Plenary Talks and sixteen Special
Sessions: each Session shall be organized by members of the two Societies,
who will invite speakers from both countries. Those interested in organizing
a Special Session should submit their proposal to Prof. A. Volcic (firstname.lastname@example.org),
coordinator of the Scientific Committee, not later than November 30th,2006.
The Opening Ceremony will take place in the medioeval "Sala dei Notari", inside the City Hall. The Plenary Talks will take place in the Aula Magna of the University of Perugia, while Special Sessions will be held in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences of the University of Perugia.
